Time Flies

Time Flies! If you can believe it, Emilia is already starting to show an interest in the potty! She tries to remove dirty/wet diapers, and to take her diaper off before pooping. In the morning, we go to get her out of her crib and she has unzipped her PJ’s and is trying to take her wet diaper off. We’ve started introducing her to the potty seat. She loves to sit on it with her clothes on and wants to wash her hands afterwards. She’s much more ready for this than we are J .
She continues to learn and grow. She loves to read and always wants to have a book when in her car seat. The words are coming fast and furious now. She points at things and wants to know what they are. When we say the word, she repeats, we say it again and she repeats. On and on….
Emilia loves to climb and seems to be a bit of a dare devil. When she gets up on something, she likes to stand (or worse, jump around). She is so obviously proud of her accomplishment, and isn’t happy when we step in for safety’s sake (see tantrum pictures below).  She’s pretty resourceful, too. She will climb on wipes containers, diaper boxes, upturned pots and pans, anything to get where she wants to go. It’s really fun to watch her problem solve.
Not only is Emilia the smartest, most resourceful, most beautiful child ever (isn’t everyone’s child!?), but she is so social, too. She waves at everyone she sees (whether or not they are looking) and if they do make eye contact, she will chat them up. It is so cute. You can tell by her tone that she’s asking them questions. And this just in! Emilia now says “yes!” No more “no” as the answer to every question, although her noes are now accompanied by very dramatic head shakes. So cute J.
Enjoy the pictures below! More to come soon!
