Miss Smarty Pants, I Mean Miss Emilia

So, I think the best way to share the pure comedy that is Emilia is just to make a list of all the funny things she does. I've been jotting them down in a notebook knowing I'd want to share them. Here goes:
  • These days Emilia is big on counting. In English and in Spanish (smarty pants!). She counted to 22 once without assistance, which is impressive, but the best part was from eleven on..."uh-leben, uh-twelve, uh-thirteeb,..."
  • When she draws she likes to make little scribbles and tell you who each one is, "That's my mommy, that's my daddy, that's my Emi, that's my boys, that's my friends, ...". Her playgroup is dominated by boys and she likes to call them her boys!
  • Whenever she sees someone, or some thing by itself (a bug, an animal, a car) she tells us with a sad voice "ohhh, it goes finds its mommy-daddy". I guess everyone is looking for their mommy daddy. But when there are two or more of something (two planes, today) she says "Yay! It's the mommy-daddy!"
  • As we pulled up to a stop light the other day, there was a bus on our right and on our left. I hear from the back seat "Hi bus driver!" and look back to see her waving enthusiastically at the bus driver on our right (who didn't see her). But when we looked to the left that driver was watching and laughing and ready to wave. It made Emi's day! "She wave at me mommy! Ah, she like me!"
  • Some nights it seems Emi's mind is just moving too fast to settle down to sleep. Lots of chatter from her room can be heard. The other night I heard her yell "MOMMY! Baby said yes, Mommy! Baby said yes!!" When I went into her room she had her doll by the shoulders and was nodding its head. Not really sure what baby was agreeing to :)
  • Another night she was yelling for Daddy. He went in to find her standing on her bed with her footy jammies un zipped and all off except for one foot. She held her hands out to her side and said "Look wha' happen dad. Look wha' happen."
  • Last week I went in to get her up for the morning and saw that there were no less than 10 crumpled up wipes lined up on the ottoman. I didn't think she did it because once in bed she just never gets out of bed until one of us comes to get her. I asked her if Daddy did it (he put her to bed). She answered very confidently, "No. I do'd that. I had to clean my face."
  • If it happened in the past, Emi likes to say it happened "last morning"
  • We're convinced she's got some Italian in her. Especially when she says things like "Whatsa you doin?"
As you can see it's a laugh a minute around here....well not always :) Miss smarty pants is also really big on testing limits. Just one of a million examples of her testing limits, she will stand on her tricycle. When I tell her not to stand she'll stand on one leg instead of two and ask me "this ok mom?" Booger. It's so hard not to laugh!

Enjoy the pictures!

Our cat used to not like anyone (except Anne). Now, she loves Emi and is so-so on Anne.

Pickles are bitter.

"I like a crab mommy!"

First ladybug of the season

Emilia likes to take Anne's tripod around and take pictures. "say cheese!"

Still not sure how she did this. She came walking in with her shoes on backwards (not wrong feet - backwards!).

We had hail for maybe 10-15 minutes straight.

Emi likes playing with the "snow".

This is the haul from costco. Emi arranged it in a square, stood in the middle and said "I made my house!"

The book is "you are my sunshine". I have a video I need to edit and share. She was singing it to her babies. Love her!

Reading Guess How Much I Love You to her babies.
