It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

As you may have seen, we've had some pretty chilly weather around here lately :) We enjoyed three days iced in, lots of hot chocolate and Christmas movies.

In early November we went to NY to see Nana and PopPop, and then we brought Nana home with us and Emi just loved having her "Nana Friend" here to play. She's still asking to go back to the airport to see her. I guess she thinks Nana's still there after we dropped her off to get her flight.

We had a great Thanksgiving at our house with Uncle Mike and Cousin Elle. I think Emilia ate just pumpkin pie for 3 days straight.

Getting ready for Christmas has been the best this year! Emilia is so into it. And when we went to see Santa I couldn't help but get teary eyed. She was just in awe! And she had colored a picture to give to Santa. She was so adorable giving it to him and Mrs. Claus. They put it right in their big read bag to take it back to the North Pole.

Some of the funnier things that have fallen out of Emilia's mouth recently:

I smell Santa's breath.
I was talking to Emilia after eating Twizzlers.

My chin is saying yes, mommy.
I had asked her a question while we were in the car. When I didn't hear an answer I said, "yes or no Emilia?"

Blankie lost her feelings, Mommy.
I'm guessing she meant Blankie had her feelings hurt :)

Mom: Emi, don't be sassy.
Emi: But I am sassy, mom.

Mo-o-o-o-m!!! I'm having f-u-u-u-un!
Shouted from the other room.

I just wanted my privacy for poo-poo.
After locking herself  in the bathroom.

I LOVE MY MOM!!
Shouted into the microphone that up until that moment I couldn't stand.

Emi: Mom when will daddy be home?
Mom: I'm not sure, honey.
Emi: Maybe 21 or 22.

Baby's proud of me.
Said after her baby watched her dance.

No-No Tummy. I'm a little bit full.
Said after her tummy growled.

MOMMY!! MOMMY!!  The moon is white!! (pause) AND THE CLOUDS ARE ORANGE!!!
She gets so excited every single day for the sunrise and sunset (yes, we are up for the sunrise every day).

Chilling on the plane to NY.

Shoveling leaves in NY.

With her godmother and cousin MaryAlice.

We've had some serious sleep issues of the last 3 months. This was where she chose to sleep one night.

Playing harmonica...with her feet.

Emi got dressed up and insisted daddy did too.

Popping bubbles or a little disco dancing?
Mr. Caterpillar
We found a caterpillar in the yard a week or so ago. That night, after Emi read him The Very Hungary Caterpillar (of course) Mr. Caterpillar spun his cocoon. We're anxiously awaiting a butterfly :)
